Hi Pappy,

I sent my Roll Design Lobo arms to you today via UPS Ground.

I included a detailed sheet of what I want and all my information that you would need in the box.

Here's the basic breakdown:

Uppers/Lowers: Translucent Candy Blue

Instead of bushings, these arms have a pair of Garlock Teflon bearings lining each hole with a standard bolt sleeve. They are not reusable once removed for powdercoating, so I have included a new set of 16 Garlock bearings to be installed after its all done.

I also included a set of 4 new spiral retaining clips that retain the spherical ball joints in the lower arms. These need to be replaced as well after the ball joints are pressed back into the arms after PC. The ball joints press out from the top of the arms FYI.

My full name is Christopher Phillips and I am shipping from Lake Barrington, IL 60010

My phone is: (847)-845-8157

I should have a tracking number for you shortly

Thanks Pappy! :D

Got a question Pappy. Have you ever done anything in Dormant Blue? I have only seen a pic of Dormant Violet and it looks super trick. What is the difference between the dormant colors and say, what I want to do (trans candy blue)?

You have any pics of the dormant colors by chance? Thanks ;)

Gotcha. Can you describe the characteristics of a dormant color vs. a translucent candy for me please?

both share low impact qualities, both are 2 stage powders (ie..base coat and a top coat)

the main difference being the dormant color is applied, and then a clear added that allows the final color to be achieved

a candy relies on a basecoat to give its translucent properties with the color coat being the final coat.

Interesting..thanks for taking the time to explain that

I think I will stick with the CBT on these. Do you think adding a clear top coat over the CBT will give it more "pop" or do you not recommend this?

Just trying to achieve the trickest look possible with these arms, thanks for your input Pappy.

Not really. By the time you do a candy color, your film build is on the edge of being to thick, which can lead to chipping etc.

all a translucent color is for the most part is a tinted clear!

10-4 Pappy, i'll just stick to the original plan with the CBT then. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask though! Thanks again for clarifying all that :)
