I have an 02' 416ex and i could have swore that when i first got it that it would start w/ the clutch being pulled in. Now i have to be in nuetral... :( Do i have a problem or are all 02's like this. I would really like to be able to start in any gear, can this reasonably be done on my 02'? Thanks guys.....

It has to do with something in the clutch lever. Some kind of safety switch thing. The 2 wires that go into your clutch lever, just cut them and wire them together. Be careful though it will be able to start in every gear without clutch or with clutch.

usually its this lil switch. Its #5

Try wigginling the wire down by your gear shifter.

I second what mitch091 said. Remove and clean the connection on the crank by the shifter. Mine was causing my electrical system to short out because it had just the slightest bend in it.
