Reverse kit for 400ex?????

I went riding this weekend and some dude told me that in dirtwheels mag they had an article on a reverse kit for the 400ex for like $60 bucks. Has anyone else seen this and i hope its true!

if they did, which im not sure about Id think it would cost more than 60 bucks...lol unless its to turn the motor around backwards...and to slap a sprocket on a brand new Solid axle front end..lol

would that be 2-400cc or 2-200cc cylinders. an 800 sport quad would kick some major @ss. the only problem would be you would have to wrap your legs around the cottonpicken thing. can we say hot calves. :eek:

I just installed my new independent rear suspension kit on my 400ex...its got 24" of wheel travel and 18 inches of ground clearance, and thats with 18" Turf Tamers!!! :D I heard rumors that theres a kit to turn our engines into two strokes for like next to nothing...I think its made by Lawn-Boy!:p

hey.... i took the tires and wheels off our 4wd and it looked awesome on my 400EX. big ol' 26" bear claws.... oh yea theres the kit that turns your 400EX into an 1100cc beast? best $4.00 you can ever spend...

Well,they make a thing called the Rev-Loc,it converts your clutch atv to a clutch less (ie. shifting without clutch) like the utility quads are and all....I think I might get one,so I can drink and ride,lol:huh

I mena the z400 yes did coem from the DR-Z witch didn't have reverse,but the FACTORY did it and has the R&D to give it reverse.

Anyways NOOOO there is no FREAKIN reverse kit for the 400ex.....

Here's the IRS (HSD) rear frame....It looks pretty trick,but I wonder if it does liek the Utlity quads with IRS and the rear wheels fold over when you slid?hmmm...I dunno

Hold on, don't get too far ahead of yourself. There actually is a reverse mod for the 400EX, and I have one. All I did was race cut the front fenders, then use my feet to push the front wheels in a reverse direction while sitting on the EX. It works for most, but not all "stuck" situations. :D

Im preety sure he saw the words rev kit and didt think it was a rev limiter he thought it was abreviated for reverse kit. LMAO

wow, this post is a lil touchy on the feelings side, there is an auto clutch for the 400ex comeing out soon, not sure if it will make the makret, i saw it in an old aricly of dirtwheels at the atv show,that independent rear suspension looks bad ***

A 400ex reverse system has been done but it takes Extensive modifications to do this , It was in one of the magazines awhile ago .

I'll try to find the ad. It was in a old mag when the 400 just came out , It was a kid dissin the 400ex because of no reverse.
I will have to whip out the ole collection.
