newer stg 2 hot cam

hi im lookin a new cam has anyone installed the newer hot cam stg2 #1034 i want a hrc but alot of $$$ :eek2:

Talked with Hot Cams yesterday on cams for the 400EX.

They said stage 1 is more for mid range gains, and stage 2 more for top end gains.

They also said a high compression piston would be a good idea.

Good luck trying to find a genuine HRC cam. I think I got the last one in the country. I spent two months on the phone every lunch hour calling Honda dealers throughout the country and found one from a dealer in Seattle Washington!!

I think the Stage one is most like the HRC cam.

I've got a stage 2 hot cam with a 11:1 piston. I love this set up. Has more power everywhere vs. stock. It is true that the stage 1 if more mid and bottom as compared to the stage 2. But with the higher compression piston and the stage 2 I think you will be pleased. Just my $.02.
