05 400 motor into an 03 frame

I have an 03 ex with a blown motor, I can get an 05 motor. Will it fit and can i get the reverse to work if I get a switch and stuff? what all would I need?

i think all you would have to do is get the reverse switch and thats about it and i'm pretty positive that the motor will fit

like j450rking said yes it will fit.

you may need the 05 cdi since it has reverse and the reverse cable and that should be it
