Klotz is a high quality oil. I've never had any problem with bel-ray and good ol honda oil. Everybody is gonna have there own prefrence of oil.

Aye, you're going to get a lot of answers here.
Amsoil (my preference), Klotz, BelRay, Royal Purple, Motul, Redline, etc.. are all great synthetics.
Honda oil is crap however. ;)
The main thing to look for is to make sure the one you use is safe for a wet-clutch application. Most automotive synthetics have added friction modifiers that will cause your clutch to slip.

well whatever oil you use make sure its designed for a 4 stroke high performance engine.
I use Bel-rays thumper oil. Its a 50 wieght a bit heavy but good ole 400ex's are oil cooled so. It makes more sense to have a heavier oil.
You don't have to do alot of research just use common sense. a thinner oil will thin out much faster wear stuff out.
I just found a oil that i thought would work good for the machine.
Good and thick.

I use Belray's thumper oil Its a 50w so its super thick.
400ex's are oil cooled so i thought it made more sense to use a heavy oil.
Use your own common sense and figure what you think will work best.
You gotta figure a heavier oil is better on a oil coiled machine.
Go with the simple logic and you will be cool.
The thumper oil is designed for high performance 4 stroke atv engines.
So i figured how can i go wrong.
superb! :D
