Do a search on this forum and i'm sure you will find out alot of good information. But from what i have read is the FCR is the better carb. I have not seen any dyno proof of this just what people have wrote on this forum. As far as the price goes you can find the FCR alot cheaper than that. You should get one for around $450 and the Eldabrock from Golden West cylces for $409 but every time i call them they say 2 weeks. I have talked to riders with the Eldabrock and they say it's a good carb with other work done to the motor.

There is some guy on this forum doing a group buy on the FCR. The price is $390. I think the FCR must be better because that is what all the top engine builders are using. The SParks page shows some detail on the FCR.

I have the Keihin it's the best you can't beat it. I sell the carb for 450.00 plus shipping and handling. As for MX racing thats what I use it for so I know first hand that it works.

do they have the lectrons for the 400ex. how big are they. are they 39mm like the keihin and the edelbrock. do they work better than the keihin and the edelbrock

They do make one for the 400EX but it's not as affective as the Keihin or even the edelbrock pumper series.

You will want to stay away from the Lectron carb. It is not the easiest to tune from talking to people and I believe you will have an easier time with either the Qwiksilver or FCR. I was considering the Qwiksilver for awhile, just can't get past the fact that the FCR is probably the better of the two; it is used on alot of high performance bikes as the stock carb. JIM
