The 525's Are Coming!!!

I just got on the dealer locate and today it looks like some dealer Utah just got the first 525! My two ship the 1/17/07.

All I can check is if there is any in OK. As of today 1/11/07 there is not any. I can't get into another dealers order and see when they are shipping. If your dealer wants to they can look on there dealersite and it will tell them what day it is supposed to ship and they can also request that it be moved to an earlier date (like I do every day!)

It looks like Weller Recreation in Kamas. Not for sure though because it does not have a quantity beside it but they are the only ones listed in UT to have one. Hope that helps.

Any of you dealer guy hear any more about 525's arriving at dealers? How about you CHADIX? I know you are an Ohio dealer, right? Has mine shown up at Bair's Polaris yet and they are just "testing" it before they call me to come get it?

Three of Stephs 525s will be here tomorrow. My three 525s will be here next week. One is mine, one is sold, one will be available. I will check and see when yours should be in.

My dealer only has one coming initially and it has been sold since there was a mention of a 525. :( I was there again today trying to get one. Sure I can go elsewhere however my dealer has went above and beyond to take care of me with my Predator.:D

I have not had any trouble selling the Outlaws. In fact I just sold an 07 500 about a week ago. To me for the price difference it is a no brainer! I didnt order many 500s for the first term however.

I hope Kansas starts getting them soon, I called my dealer this evening and nothing yet.

Yeah I would say there is a good chance this is the last year for the Fugi 500 for both machines. It has however been one hell of a good engine!

yamaha of louisville in louisville KY will have one this week or next and it has not been sold. said no one had asked about it, so no one knows they are getting one. might be an option for one of you guys that are having problems finding one.

I'd imagine that these bikes will be a hot commodity thus there won't be very many dealer transfers if any.:(

Just a few quick thinks I saw was they reinforced the steering stem, Changed the seat pan, and the overall fit and finish is great. We are riding tomorrow after work so I will let you know!

If Polaris nails this machine it will finally be fun to be a Polaris dealer for younger people. I'm 25 and I raced the Outlaw last season but still have a hard time selling people on a Pred or Outlaw. People that buy 450's are already sold when they walk in the door. I would say that Polaris is definately the under dog in the sport department.

yeah, I wish I knew how they are shipped out too and what their method is for determining who gets them first. I know I have had a deposit for a couple months now and places past me in OH are getting them but not my dealer.... Kind of sucks, why couldn't the truck just stop off at my dealer on the way by and drop it off?! Oh well, it will show up eventually....

I just got back from checking out 1 of John Gallagher Sr.'s 525's at the dealer where I put my deposit down and I must say that I am VERY impressed with the looks (read: fit and finish) of the 525! The KTM motor appears to be about 25% smaller than the 500 motor and the carb if easy to get to. The hydrolic clutch is an extremely easy pull, much easier than my Z400 was (and those were easy to pull). The flat black frame looks great as well. I know the seat latch was much easier to use also (I believe it is a better latch set up as well). Jeff's description of the 525 didn't do it justice because I am much more impressed with it in person than I was expecting. I will be PROUD to say I own an Outlaw if this thing runs and holds up as good as it looks. It really appears that Polaris took their time to refine the bike and address the issues from the '06 versions! Can't wait till mine gets here next week!

The dealer by me has had 2 of them for a week. They look very cool. Not giving much of a deal $7249.

Any of you guys a little weary of buying this quad due to the fact this is the first year with a new motor in a quad. They are giving a free 2 year factory warranty with it, but I am a little hesitant due to the fact it hasn't been around for a couple years.

In most cases there is always problems that arise the first year or two of a new bike out on the market. I probably still will get it and cross my fingers they don't need to make any major changes the next couple of years due to unexpected problems.

If the engine was brand new, then I would say yes, but the KTM 525 has been around for years and has a vary good rep for power and reliability. So I would have no problem.

As far as the 2 year warranty, I thought the 525 wasn't included according to my dealer a week ago. It would be nice tho if they did add it. Tyler or Chad, and info on the warranty?:)

I was on the Polaris site the other day, maybe Monday, and KNOW I saw the 525 listed under the 2 Yr warranty deal. When I was at the dealer yesterday and asked them about it, they told me that it was not included in the offer. After looking just now, the 525 has its own "Current Offer" and it does not include the warranty. It was DEFINITELY changed from Monday's current offer listing!

When they first posted the free 2 year warranty on the Polaris website the Outlaw 525 was listed as a qualifying vehicle. Today when I checked it is not in the list but has its own offer of just ride free till 2008.

As far as reliability I am not too worried. Like GE4x4 said the KTM is known as much for its reliability as it is its power and the Outlaw chasis has had most of its problems with the '06 addressed.

They had the 2yr deal only until dec 31. jan 1 it went to a new promotion. There will be new promotions in march but with a new model that is really hot don't expect anything more than good financing.

That is exactly what my dealer said. He said he was surprised Polaris had the finance deal on them also.....

I dont think they even realized they did it becasue it didn't matter. There would be no Outlaw 525's until jan anyways. They just grouped it with the 500.

No, what i mean is that with the new 525 being so popular they wont run any promotions if it is selling well without them. Things usually only get a good promotion if they aren't selling well.

Stopped by the dealer today mine has an expected delivery date of 1-29. I also seen the video of the rzr, damn impressive.

Is Polaris sending people to KTM training? How are parts and warranty issues going to be handled. Will my Polaris dealer be able to get all of the KTM parts and be able to do all warranty work?

Just got our 2 Outlaws in. We already have one built and I just got back in from riding it. There is snow on the ground but the parking lot is clear. This thing rocks I dont care if you don't like Polaris or dont like IRS you will love this machine. Starts really fast unlike what Cain Smead said after he rode one. Maybe they got that fixed. It will be awesome for GNCC. They fixed anything that was wrong with the 500 and then some. Nice job Polaris!!!

The engineers did tell me that they were still working on the jetting to get them to start faster on the productions models. What Cain and myself rode was preproduction.

My next race is Sunday!!! There will be some late nights getting it all modded out and ready for the D11 harescramble race. I just bought a set of flexx bars for it and am changing out all of my other stuff to the new machine. It is going to be a cold race but I think the 525 will keep me warmed up:D :D :D :D

CHADIX, what fatbar adapter did you use (height) because that is also one of the first things I want to change out as well. I am just unsure what to get as far as bar height (I know the flex bars are adjustable) but just in case I don't get those.... PM me with a price that you can get the bars for as well if you could.
