stg is more for non modded motors. stg 2 is better if u hav a new piston, longer stroke ect. i kno i luved the stage 1 but since i plan on doing a 460 stroker im buying the stg 3. i think itll be fine.

In theory the stage 1 is used for low to mid-range power, stage 2 is more for mid range to top end power. I think either one is a good buy, but for riding track stage 1 is more popular.

this come directly from hotcams site.

stage1 gives great mid and top end gains.

stage 2 gives excellent top end gains with some loss to bottom.

i emailed the guys at hotcams and they said that the stage 1 will not give u any loss in the bottom end, but will improve the mid and top

im just sayin wut they say thats all. for the 450R the satge1 is a bottom to mid range cam. it is different for different bikes, but that is wut they advertise for the 400ex
