Does anyone make subs for a regular cab truck? Will any old subs fit? Can you even put subs in a regular cab truck?

I am in the process of. I just took out everything behind the seats, and am goin to make a box to make the subs sit at angle and have my amp in the middle of the 2 subs. My friend has a the same thing done. It doesnt sounds too bad, but turcks arent really meant to have subs in them, unless you have a extended cab and make a wall full of them.

Best Buy also sells truck boxes. I got a pair for $100 that hold 10's that fit nicely behind the seats. I think i'm ordering a box from supercrew sound for the new truck I just got for a more finished look that carpeted boxes though.

two 10" rockford fossgate punch p2's, rockford 25th anniversary amp. they sound great! I highly recomend the p2's. You will need something with a shallow mounting depth and the p2's are perfect. Ill fet pics of the set up when i get the chance

i have two rockford fosgate 8" subs in two truck boxes behind the seat of my reg cab 93 s-10 with a mtx road thunder amp, for get the wattage. It sounds very good for 2 8s and will vibrate the hell out of my back and mirrors

if you cant fit any premade box as mentioned by other people you could custom build one and i think its pioneer that makes them.they are shallow mount woofers that are like 3.5 inches deep or summin like that

I had 2 12's in my 96 Ram Reg cab short box. They'll fit, just have to find a place that makes the box. Or build one yourself.

I have 3 10's in a older s10.
I have bucket seats and the head rest touches the back window, but there is not very much leg room.

just slide the seat as far up as can and still be able to drive. Then recline the seat back till it touches the back window.
then find the highest place behind the seat the is 3 in wide and that is the max hight of the box. then measure the distance from the back wall to the back of the seat bottom and that is the bottom max box with. make it at least 2 in less.
the angle the front of the box makes should be greater than the angle of the seat back this angle should give you room to mount the sub's and have a pocket in fount of them for air. mount the subs as low as you can in the box.

i did this with my 3 10's in my s10 and got .75 cubic foot per sub, witch is what the subs called for.
just find subs that take very little air space . And have a shop make you a custom wedge box.

how hard is it to wire up a system in your truck? anyone have experience?

wiring is pretty much the same in trucks or cars..most of the sterio stuff is color coded.. amp wiring is all that bad..just pull a few panels to hide your wires so it looks clean. If you have a basic idea of how speaker wiring goes u should be set..if not most stuff comes with all sorts of wiring diagrams anyhow

I ran two 10"s in my regular cab GMC Sonoma. Then I sold and installed them in my friend's regular cab '04 Dodge 1500.

I have two 12's in my reg cab ram. My box looks like the one that superscrews builds. I bought the box at best buy eight years ago. It has two Kickers in it. Sounds good. Vibrates the hell out of you though. It is like getting a back massage everyplace you go.

What do yall think about this? Sounds pretty good, i guess. For about the same price tho you could get 2 kicker comp vr 10's in a truck box w/ a decent amp, i'd say kenwood... A real good setup if you ask me... ;)

i just switched my system from my dodge (reg cab) to my chevy (reg cab) pioneer deck & amp, 2 10" kicker comp's behind the seat. had to move the seat up slightly to allow for some air movement between it and the subs. they hit good in the dodge, but seem to hit an lot better in the old chevy (all-metal interior minus the seat, door panels and top of dash) resonates pretty good.

havent driven it with the system installed yet. its an old beat up 86 3/4 ton. i believe i have more money into the stereo **** than i paid for the truck:huh :D

hahaah only reason i did the swap is because i am planning on upgrading the dodge. the current system got put in the chevy cause a bunch of us go up in the mountains (don't know if any other NEPAer's (not a word?:huh ) know about the train tracks that run all over around here. we go camping up in the mountains and its nice to have some good tunes while partying:macho

not quite sure what the point of sharing that was:confused:

Have you thought of these? I run two behind the rear seat of my crew cab seat in my truck, sounds like two 12's and it is an easy hook up.

i had a reg cab s10 and i could not fit anything in the back cuz of how tall i am and i tried getting a 10" in there but my knees would touch the stearing wheel with how far i had to move up the seat.
if your small you could do something
