Pro Armor Fat Peg DONT FIT

I own a 2006 400ex....Bought a set of 450r/400ex Pro armor Fat peg nerf bars.....These things just DONT WANT TO BOLT UP....Holes dont line up....Was told to cut off brackets on the bars.....Did that...Now foot peg bolts dont line up....Any one else Have this problem? I am wating to here from Pro Armor as we speek.

try switching around the black bars that the actual nerf bars mount to. when I first put mine on, I had the them switched around. I thought they looked exactly the same but they were slighty different, so when I switched em around the fit right into place like they were supposed too.

for the 400ex style pro armor ones, they don't have a motor mount, they bolt up to the a arm mount. And mine also went on like nothing once I had everything in its proper place.

jokester, the pegs a v shaped...tuned them upside down and the made the bars go into the fender....Are you saying put the left on the right?

ya thats what I did. When I started I just picked up one of the black mounting bars and put in on, and when I went to put the nerf bar onto the black bar/peg the holes didn't line up. So I took that one off and put the other one on in its place and the holes lined up..and the top part of the heel guard should only be like about an inch or so from the bottom of your fender...if you need anymore help let me know.

jokester thanks a million....That worked.....Why wouldnt the instructions or the parts tell you wich side they go on.....I got a favor, could you post a couple of pics so I can install the narly part of the footpeg on and a pic of the rear bumper mounts, where the old heel protecters went....Thanks again.......

glad it worked for you! ya I'll definatley try and get some posted up tomorrow for you. If I don't get them posted tomorrow I will have them up friday, but if I don't have them tomorrow its because of school... my day starts at 6am, and I don't get home till 5pm so its always dark when I'm home now... anyway I'm happy you got them to work out.

2nd.... the pic is a little small, but for the middle part of the grips, I have the flat side facing the kick up, and not towards the engine.

ya I don't know why they never did that in the first place...maybe its just to make people mad or something....lol anyway I'm glad it all worked out for you...
