I have a '97 300EX and My Friend just put a new bearing in the swing arm (axle carrier?) and I jacked the swing arm up tonight and the whole axle is wabbling up and down and it broke the chain tensioner and I am wondering what the problem could be and what I might need to fix it. Any help is appreciated. Thx

If the chain tensioner is broke, being, where you put the allen wrench to twist the carrier to tighten or loosen the chain, then you Definetly need a new Carrier, a stock one is 150 from service honda, a good duel row is around 200 from moto-joe.com if you care to take a look, i had this problem already, it sucks, dont go riding and be stranded 20 miles from home with a blown carrier and have to ride it back despite the damge being done, it aint fun

Looked at it today and I don't really know a good way to get it apart to check it out. I need some help with getting this thing apart and what I need to do if anybody would be willing to help. Thanks

go to www.servicehonda.com and go to parts..then go to hard parts...then pick a 300ex exploded view of the rear thatll give you an idea

its pretty basic i think.... take off wheels, chain...then commence takin the rear caliper and stuff off...unless you use the master link to take off the chain...loosen the chain tensioner as much as you can...then go from there....take off rear sprocket...and then the axle nut....i think im close...somebody give him more ideas..lol

ok I see the parts in the picture and I'm wondering if this has 2 bearings and a carrier or just a carrier cuz I do not see the carrier in the pic. And the Chain tensioner is broke too and it does not have that part listed. thx
