if you are talking about a 450r the stg 2 will work fine you will loose some bottom end but gain some top end

if you are talking about a 400ex I would only do a stg 2 with a high compression piston. you will gain more horsepower out of the topend.

I just canned my HMF exhaust for a new full DASA Exhaust System. On top of that I installed the Stage II Hotcam. All I can say is the machine pulls like a freight train!

From all the Dyno results I've read with the Stage II Cam, DASA or Rossier Exhaust, aftermarket filter (I run a UNI) with the open lid, the 06' TRX's are making 47 - 48 h.p.

Here is my setup:

- DASA Exhaust, Stage II Hotcam, UNI Air Filter (no airbox lid)
- 180 Main
- Stock Pilot
- Dynojet Needle on 3rd clip (an HRC is just as good)
- #55 leak jet
- Air / Fuel screw 2.5 turns out

. . . You can go leaner on the Main but I like to be a little on the rich side. The weather changes quite a bit temperature wise where I live. So when it gets nasty cold outside I'm still good to go and don't have to worry about richening up the main every time I ride.

Hope this helps.
