Notice that they have been polished! We have them Cryogenically treated and polished. TRhe polishing increases performance (additional HP) and decreases heat (More reliability) in the trans cases. It will not eliminate the gear problem but will increase reliability greatly over stock gears.

We are not yet a site sponsor so i cannot quote prices. They are not much more than a set of stock gears.

i would go with the eton style gears and a tranny saver. we have not broke a tranny since we went to the tranny saver and we broke more than i can count before i installed it.

Mark,
Where can you get the tranny saver from? We are going to do the bushing mod. to the inner side of the case to stop it from flexing but add the case saver it will be twice as strong. The case saver looks great and should give better support to stop the gears from walking to much.

Who does the bushing mod? We had ours done by a guy named Frank out of Michigan but i was wondering who else did it and what thier price is?

I can get it done for you, but yours is already done.
I also have the hardest transmission gears, in overrange or standard, Carborized . Not just the same old soft stuff cryogenically treated. It's the new stuff. Apex style output shaft.

Have you tested that yet?
We have been doing the bushing mod to the Apex, Polaris and Xtreme with super results. Very nice product do you change the sprocket style at all.
I dont see how it adds the support needed to keep the shaft from flexing with the stock sprocket. The gears walking around on hard landings is why they fail. With the bushing mod there is no flex in the shaft means minamal chance of breakage. The bushing mod works best on the apex and polaris style shaft.
Again nice product and has nice bling let us know how it works out.

if i am not mistaken he posted elsewhere that you have to use the eton type shaft with this tranny saver too. looks like it has the recessed area for the bearing that the eton output shaft slides through. basically the same as the other tranny saver except his has the built in motor mount. i will keep my steel motor mount. but very trick looking

Mark

from his other post

yes you have to use kasea style gears , the other style would require to big of bearing. and yes the apexs jump and run faster

A friend of mine has made up a solution for the Apex transmission gears and it has held up with a very hard rider on it, basically trying to break it! I believe before it was installed they broke 3 sets and now haven't broke any under the roughest riding and worst jumps with full throttle!

I have made my own with 8031 oil impregnated bronze and pressed it into where the needle bearing goes. about 30 hrs of hard riding and no issues whatsoever.

We use an alum/bronze bush that supports the whole shaft. We have done several for people across the country with no problems. The bushing seams to be the ticket. As we all know in racing noting is bullet proof but we have to try as hard as we can to hold these machines together.

Here is a pic. of the sprocket side with the seal installed in the bushing.

we have been using a bearing for a whyll now ina-nk-25/16 it is way thicker and harder than the stock bearing , this bearing and are saver pictured above is all we use and we havnt blow a set of gears in a year no bull, my sons quad is an aasco 90 the first apexs out, we blew the first set the first weekend we got the quad and has never blow a set sents, we just made are 35 saver today and have a order for 10 more , this all started just making them for are selfs and friends and now look, just remember the rider is the best tranny saver and nothing is bullet proof.
