I dont get why you mentioned getting a bigger carb, when i made a whole list of bigger carbs that will work with no modification to fit, and say you dont want it. the 22mm is too small to be not restricting performance.

the only thing you could really do is go with some kind of portwork and polishing. you've done basically everything there is to do.

the only things remaining are forms of forced induction, but with the hi compression piston you have, it's not a good idea unless you want to run a very high octane race gas or a gas/toulene mix. not to mention it would be expensive and time-consuming to set up and tune.
