I'm 6' 2" and 235. The quad is perfect for me. I ride it nearly everywhere with out any difficulty. I race and trail ride with no problems. It motors right up the steepest hills without any problems.

loaded down in the sand IMO, get a 450, want something that revs out like i 2 stroke to move the sand i would reccomend a yfz

id say a yfz would be alittle small. but u could always put a plus 2 stem some risers high bend bars and pro pregs wit locators

I'm 5'11" and weigh about 265 and have no problem with my 400ex. I ride trails, sand, dirt and mud with no problems.

its not that the 400 wont do good in the sand, a 450 will just do better, if i was only riding dunes 2 stroke is the way to go, on the yfz being small, i am 6'2 220 and i am comfortable on it

then i guess a 700r or 500 pred would just flat out get it with big monster power slides in 3-4 gear??

get a 400 before one of them IMO.... a 700 is more of a XC beast, torque monster, this is what i would get for a dune atv
250r, banshee, yfz450, 450r, ltr450, 400ex, z400 those are prolly your top atvs, some might switch spots such as banshee/250r and yfz/450r but not much, they are in relatively good order in good dune atvs

I am 6'2'' and weigh around 200lbs, and to be honest. The power is pretty good, I live on the coastline in Jersey where most pits are sand and I feel I could use a little more power to have nice power slides. I feel like I really need to muscle it to get the *** end to slide like I want it. I am using the ****ty stock rear tires as well. I think the 400EX is the best bang for the buck and probably in the top three as far as trail quads. The low end is great and with the simple addition of a slip on and air filter with jetting would make it that more powerful. I don't know if having a 450R or YFZ would be better for you, but ergonomically Honda has the most comfortable sport quads out there. Honda is also notorious for leaving a lot on the table when it comes to performance standards. I think Honda has the best setup out there, because it's godo to get used to and the aftermarket and support for them is simply amazing.
