Mud Stained Cases!!

How do I get the mud stains off the cases of my 300 EX? I just bought the bike and have tried all day, any suggestions?

a wire brush and or some steel wool, and maybe a cleaning checmical like simple green or something, no matter what its gona take alot of work ;)

every now and then i clean my motor and cases with Hotwheels wheel cleaner, just spray it on and let it sit for a minuate or two and clean it with a soapy rag. if its real dirty i use an engine cleaner/degreases that foams, that seems to work good, but if you do that dont get it near bearings. i always relube my swing are bushings and what not after i use it just in case

Thanks. .i am at it again today. Also, I want to touch the frame up and am looking for the dark grey color that my 02 300EX is. I know I can go to honda, does anyone know where I can find that color in a spray can for touchups? I have tried Walmart but it is not dark enough.

Menards usually has a lot of colors if walmart doesnt have it. I would say engine degreaser would get it off.

I saw the PJ1 paint and they offered "XR Silver" is that the frame color of my 02 300EX? It looks very dark grey on the frame.

yep. Just make sure its the pre 2004 paint.
