close, the only things on it not stock are grphics, seat cover, case saver, brake block off, hood and handguards...
i still have the hipers and nerfs, and i will need to buy a stabilizer, bumper, and skids if i keep it...maybe replace he rekluse down the road too

400exrider989 thanks for the comment, your the first or second person to say that about my quad anyway THANKS!!. I am thinking about doing a total make over to it, instead of yellow plastics I'm gonna have black ones. Here's everything that I plan on doing to it.

Black Laker Custom plastics
Works Black Widow Shocks (longtravel)
EyeBall Engineering A-arms (+3+1)
Hiper Wheels (red rings)
Attack Graphics
LSR Axle +4
Powdercoated Frame, Side Cases, Exhaust,

I think I covered everything. A little over 3 grand I'll cost me.

450rJam, I'll throw up some specs and pics of the 400 when I get time. I wouldn't consider it anywhere near the nicest 400 around here, though.

I like the 450's but to me they are to much to work on. I'm a farmer so I don't have to much time to ride and stuff. I'm not to famillure with the 450's being liquid cooled and stuff so I don't know much about them. I love the power and handling of my 400 and how easy it is to work on. If I would get a 450 anything it would be a LTR 450, to me nothing beats an EFI but I do realize that there software to program them is very expensive. I suppose if the right deal came along I'd go for it, maybe if it was fully modded to the brimm I'd buy it.

you dont know about the liquid cooling ?
well its been out for about 20+ years, the old 2 stroke 250rs
maybe sooner.

the efi is still pretty new in atv's,
its funny your not sure about the liquid cooled and stuff then you
say if you got a 450 it would be the ltr.(its liquid cooled and stuff)

your not sure about old technology but want new efi ? ok

Motor: Wiseco 12.5:1 440, GT Thunder head studs, RPM race port, stage 2 hotcam, TC revbox, hinson clutch basket, Sparks x-6, built stock carb

There is more, but thats all I can think of right now. Everything that blings is chrome, nothing polished. This is my favorite 400 I've ever had, but I don't consider it near the nastiest around. IMO a nasty 400 is all LT, and mines not. Mainly b/c I can't justify sinking that much more in a 400, plus for what I do my suspension is perfect.

I do know about liquid cooled motors and stuff Sorry if I worded my paragraph wrong, it's just im not to famillure about taking a liquid cooled motor apart, you know like rebuilding them and stuff. Sense I really do not race or anything I really am in no need of buying a 450. I hope you guys understand sorry if I confused you guys. I would love to race but I don't have the time to, plus on top of that I don't even live close to a MX track. Sucks living in wisconsin.

I gotta Agree , thats One helluva Rebuild you've got there Fish . Ouch .

Only thing I seem to pick up is that these bikes are always In show-room condition .... I am just as picky about a dirty bike , but i cannot seem to keep it from being scratched when i race ... I'd feel so guilty about riding something as nice as that , as hard as i ride Mine .

I believe all the chrome on the side covers and motor mounts was around $200. My buddy built one a a couple years ago, and went w/ black fulbores, everything p/ced black w/ the motor chrome and it was sick.

Urs is lookin good, especially when u mount that hood.

As for reliability, heat doesn't affect the chrome (we've chromed a 250r cylinder and it never turned from the heat). It also holds up better than anything else. We usually p/c the clutch and stator covers, but the chrome has held up WAY better than p/c, plus there is no upkeep like polishing.

As for the quad getting rode, it does. If I'm putting it in the woods, I'll swap the lakers for stock plastics and put on the stock wheels and tires. I usually try to keep it on the track, but thats kinda hard now since my local track did away w/ quads:( Guess I'll prolly try my luck at some TT this year.

The plastics were BRAND NEW out of the box from Honda. The engine cases and side covers were powdercoated and the cylinder and head were Moly Coated all by Pappy. He did a great job on it. Everything is done in Satin Black

Wrecked a TT quad, 250r chassis, CRF450 hybrid motor. pushes 64 hp on the dyno. Stupid bike. lol. Honestly don't know what happened, no one saw it and I knocked myself unconscious, can't remember much of the month of May lol. But I must have done somethin stupid.

Thanks... it's my fiance's, he still has it. Busted a lower ball joint, snapped the grab bar clean off the subframe and broke the exhaust mount. Nothing bad happened to it. That thing definitely won the fight.

OMG, I think I found my new favorite quad on the site. yama450yfz, I have fallen in love with your 400. The pics almost look photoshopped because it looks perfect with all the white and black. Also I noticed the boot covering the postive wire that attaches to the starter is off. You should probably get that popped back on. lol
