will not start

looking at a kazuma 90 for a friend, the nut on the rocker arm came off,it stop running . it's good fire spits back through the carb. spark plug real wet. but will not crank.i'm thinking mabey a bent valve. any suggestions?

where did the nut end up?

Either you have set the valves 180 degress off or you have a bent valve.
