Kind of a weird question, but I was just wondering if there was a utility quad that if fully manual. I doubt it...

The Suzuki Vinson and Eigers, or the last I knew they were. I'm sure there are some others but I don't keep up with it.

Oh no kidding. I don't keep much up on Suzuki, so I didn't know that.

I rode on of the Honda (rubicon?)that goes from semi-auto to fully auto. It was kind of interesting. Though I was told this was the 3RD tranny. Keep in mind it is a snow plower, w/ an none- too bright operator...

none of the utes are fully manual...the closest you can get on a ute is an autoclutch

I know some GNCC guys used to put manual kits on their 4x4s back in the day when they had less power then they do now. I know of one specific one that was on a wolverine.

I just realized, and someone already beat me to it, that you asked for a fully manual, i.e. use a clutch.

The Suzuki's have an auto clutch. They're rock solid engines, I have one of the first 500's and other than a fluke problem with an exhaust valve she just keeps running. The 500 (Vinson) are liquid cooled engines and the 400 (Eiger) are air cooled.

Oh, okay. That's what I figured. I was just curious. As long as it is Honda and not fully auto. it is good enough for me. ;)

Yeah, my uncle had a Foreman, that was a nice machine. I'd like something like that, or even a TRX300 4X4.

The rincon is auto and no belts there....its an automotive style 3 spd transmission.

I've got an 03 Yamaha wolverine (350cc) that has 4x4 and the autoclutch and a new Yamaha Grizzley 450. They both have their good and bad. The Wolverine is great with the 4x4 and manual tranny but he Grizz is a whole lot smoother and better at slow speed. If I had to choose one over the other, the Wolverine with a autoclutch is prefered. The Yamaha Big Bear autoclutch is one of the last of the manual shifters. It is supposedly a great utility machine. Front diff locks and manual shifting is hard to beat. Too many people have gotten lazy and prefer auto trannys these days for the manufacturers to build manuals I suppose.

Yeah, I would guess that would be it. That diff lock would be nice.
