I have an 05 400EX, stock sprockets are 14/39. I have a 13T on front and it hurt the top end a bit too much. I got a 37T rear and I am wondering if I will need a different length chain to install the 37T rear with the 13T front?

I don't know for sure. Adjust it and see. Sorry I don't know off hand but I'd suspect it will be close.

I'm shorter with mine (15/35)

You could take one link off with a chain breaker but if you're running the stock chain you may not want to do that for one reason or another.

Remove two links from the chain's length for every two sprocket teeth subtracted when you are subtracting two or more sprocket teeth from the front or rear sprockets. If just one tooth is removed than no change to the chain is needed.

Stock length is 94 links. Since you are removing 3 teeth than a chain that's 92 links will be spot on.

If you already have a chain with a master link than you could just remove 2 links on your own. I requires a special tool.
