mega max 2 .....

does anyone here have a mega max 2 on their 400, and if so how do you like it? Does it add noticable low-mid power or should i look elsewhere for something different. I had a mega max2 on my 300 and liked it for the quiet core and the tunability. Post pics if possible too... Thanks ;)

Thanks ;) My cousin had an HMF slip-on on his 400, my friend had a MegaMax II and another friend had a Pro Circuit T-4. The quad with the MegaMax II got beat consistantly no matter who was piloting it. The Pro Circuit and the HMF went back and forth with the HMF probably winning 6 out of 10 races. IMO, the HMF had the best sound.

I have a Mega Max2, I love it, its has a really nice bottem end and I've made things so i get top end out of it(took a line of aluminum and wrapped 6 little circles and put them around the screws for the disks and made spacers, with that set up and a Uni filter and a jet kit I won 2nd place out of 25 400ex's in a ice drag(the guy that got 1st beat me by 1/10th of a mph, he had a Super mod warrior, by the end of the day he cracked his crank...) and I just made a end cap for it last night(I was bored) i just made a plate with the screw holes and a few holes in the middle so it will get even more top and mid if I want.-just my 2 cents-darren

I have one that came on my 400ex. I am thinking about switching to something else. You can buy mine if you want, but I don't have the quiet core - the guy I bought it from said he lost it because he never used it.

My friend had one and he got rid of it for an e-series. Thats what I have and I really love it. It gave me really good gains all over the powerband especially mid range power. You can get quit cores for an e-series too. If you order a rocky mountain atv catalog they have tons of accessories for an e-series. I would say go with an e-series instead if you really want to feel a difference.:macho

megamax suck.fmf dident send dirtwheels a megamax when they did the pipe shootout 400 ex in 3-01.what does that tell you

it tells me they did not have one to test to say it sucked! I had one on my 300 and it was great, livend things up and i think if enough money was put dirtwheels way they would say a modded coffee can for an exhaust would be the ticket. my 2 cents :rolleyes:

I just dont think it was a good design. My friend had one on his 300ex and he really didnt like it so he got rid of it for a white bros. JMO.
