atc and trx engine diff

i just got and 86 atc250r engine. it looks a little different than the engine in my 86 trx 250r. i was just wondering if their is a difference between the 2. will the atc 250r engine fit in the trx frame?? is their a power difference?? anything u may know would be great..

The 86 ATC motor will fit perfect in your TRX frame. The differences between the 2 motors is almost zero.

I'm pretty sure all atc's and the 86 trx are the exact same. Trx changed in 87 though.

You got any 310 or 330 cylinders? How much.

the 85 atc motor has some different stuff, but of any importance, the big ones that comes to mind is the stronger kicker gears and rollers on the cluth baskets. 86 trx and atc motor are identcal except the atc has a thinner head gasket.

i dont have any big bore cylinders forsale. i do have a stock cylinder that is drag ported. i knwo that the bbore is good and its on its 2nd bore. other than that i diont know anythgin about it. let me knwo if u want it ill sell it cheap.
