how can I earn a cookie? That sounds about right, I doubt that price is firm though. Why would you want a Polaris anyways

I dunno why anyone would want what could be the fastest/best quad coming out, either.

09-22-2002, 07:46 PM
best and fastest....I doubt it......

.......maybe the best and fastest realistic buyable quad, not everyone one races and wants to spend 12 grand on a quad

I think the predator COULD be a VERY nice quad, its a good idea. The Raptor was a great ide a though, 660cc Four Stroke with Reverse under 400 pounds, oh man, its gonna be great! Not really living up to the expectations in my opinion though....
I do think the Predator could be a very nice quad, but, it is a polaris, and all the mags have complained about some sort of mechanical problems, sooo, who knows

I think the predator will dominate the desert series.

Noone knows what it will be it hasn't been released yet. So to say it will be the best handle, most powerfull, etc. is foolish.

There was one on display at the Sand and sport show in SoCal. It looked ok but so does my ex wife.

i don't want one, my neighbor does, he likes his 96 sport400l, i think it's a peice of junk that is no faster than my dads stock warrior, and almost every other time i have been out with him riding that thing something with it has gone wrong, he rolled it cuz it's top heavy as ****, his chain broke onc, another time his radiator cracked, another time his headlight came disconnected durring a night ride, and when he got back from ovalbee dunes he tried driving into his garage and 2 gears in the tranny were stripped, the bike ia a 2wd version that weighs about 480 somethin pounds and is very very hard to turn, POLLARIS=POS, and to top it all off, he's only had the bike for 7 months now and all that has happened, and he doesn't even jump or abuse it

The Predator won't leave the MOTO so it really doesn't matter on that end. Don't you wonder why the moto isn't included in the little charts in the predator ads?

the pred is a 6 grand quad, the moto is a full blown 13 grand race quad, of course it better

anyone that one look at the preds add, wouldnt even bother with a moto much less if they saw the cost they would probably give up 4 wheeling....
j/k

more people ride for fun and rec, not many people actaully race.

ive heard of two riders, one a pro rider, and the other a pro am rider say they love the new preditor and is one of their favorite production quads they've ever rode. they've both rode cannondale's too. so far ive been nothing but impressed with the new polaris. im a big time polaris fan because of snowcross and i have no problem with being a polaris ATV fan. they look like they are on the ball with this one!

JUST BECAUSE POLARIS PUTS GEARS IN A QUAD DOESN'T NESSASSARILY (sp?) MEAN ITS GOING TO WORK!!!

10-03-2002, 02:59 PM
I have never been impressed with anything that Polaris has made. I think most of the quads they make are very suspect in the workmanship department. I know for a fact that they so not stand behind the products they make either.
