What's up ya'll? I have stock 05' TRX 450r that I bought not too long ago. This is my first bike and I dont know too much about them, but what I do know is that I wanna make this sucker faster! I know I have to put an aftermarket pipe, but what is a decent one I can use? And what else can I do to it to make it faster (I like to race up hills at the dunes) I would appreciate any help thanx!

nice bike and welcome to the site. go to www.partsforatvs.com/honda. they have a 480 big bore kit and the hrc 3 stage kits ( pipe, cams the whole nine yards). the stock header on the r's are pretty good so i would get a slip on for it and mabyea uni air filter( i like k@n also but since u ride in the dunes thats a lot of small dust to get in). also get a re-jet kit also for the modes u do.

take off the air box lid, take off the air filter and take out that restrictive screen and put air filter back on, take out the baffle, then rejet the carb to a 162. you may need to go up or down with the main jet to get it right for where you live. Total costs... the price of the jet you buy.

o yeah, nice quad!! My uncle had those gecko sand tires, 1 tip to little sahara and he had sand stars on. gecko's don't hook up as well. they look mean though

The best mods you could do is remove the airbox lid, take out that screen as said above, get the full HRC kit, rejet and get a HMF slip-on or something.

get a Rossier or DASA pipe. Get a UNI filter or some sort of different foam filter. Then just make sure you rejet the carb, and take the air box lid off.

Any one know what the difference between a "pro design pro flow K&N intake system" and a "K&N modquad air flow system?" Which is better? Thanks

there okay, but just stick with Rossier, DASA, HMF, or even RAGE

Get a Rossier. I just put mine on the other day and the fit, finish and sound are all awesome. I took her for a quick ride and it rips. I need to change the clip on my needle and I should be good to go.

So far I got the Pro Flow K&N kit. Do I need to rejet? I'll be leaving the lid on.
