You know that we are all wannabe MacGyvers right? Right. So what is this about using nylons as a precharger (i.e. instead of outerwear)?
Can anybody shed some light on this topic.

I have used them as a airbox lid and they work pretty good.

I have a hard time believein it would be cost effective. A precharger/outerwear is somewhere between 10-20$ and thats a one time cost. I havent checked lately how much nylons are but i would imagine after a few filter cleanings it would cost more to buy new nylons than just buy an outerwear and clean it everytime.

i tryed nylons, they work ok but they allways seemd the rip on me so i broke down and bought outerwares material. the outerwares is alot better in the water but might not flow as much as nylons. its worth trying, opening up the air box is a nice increase, as logn as you re-jet;)
