pipe problem

hey my ESR trx5 pipe is hitting my upper A-arm mount. if i leave it like this, its going to rattle when i start riding the quad and put a big dent in my pipe. ive already tried grinding down the Aarm mount but it still hits. does anyone know wat the best way to fix this is?

We have the 89 model frames & I dont remember the 5 pipe being that close like yours is.
If the engine was forward for some reason I could see where it might would touch.
Those front engine mounts, you have each of them on their right side & both on the inside of the frame mount tabs.
Could just be the lower pipe mount on the right side needs adjusting.
Post some more pics to see, unless somebody else has had the say problem & gives an answer.

I've got the same pipe, same frame, where the two pieces of the pipe connect, turn it more and it will put it further away from that mount. Mine went in fine once I got everything lined up, no grinding, no rattling.

well i took the pipe off today and turned it a little bit where the two pieces of the pipe connect, and basically shifted everything a little bit. Now i have about 3/4 cm between the pipe and Aarm mount. You think i should be ok?

Mine has more than that. I'll go get a measurement and a pic, brb.

Ok, you have to be close, mine has just over 1/4" clearance so you should be good.

i;ve found thats it s a good idea to have a small flexible plate fixed between the exhaust and the bottom a arm mount ,,because one day u 250r will backfire and put a real dent in the exhaust from the frame mount ....your rebuilds looking a show stopper btw .. ps don;t u a arms have grease nipples fitted ??? thats a must have and a very small job ..
