Yeah, and its one of the best quads I`ve had .

Thinking of holding on to it.
Great power in stock form!
Had to do alot of mods and $$$ to the 450r to get it to go!!!
Should sell it...Interested?

If you have the 400 all ready, you might as well put the yz motor in it or the crf450,you will be much happier in the long run..

Al,I had a trade w/a 450r.I rode it,it just isnt the hybrid..my yz power and handleing is just uncanny, neadless to say I didnt trade,I would be bummed in the long run..

what about a 440kit, and other mods? Man, you can do anything you want to that 400ex engine, but it still won't hold a candle to even a stock yz 426/450 engine. Do the yz or crf swap and gusset the hell out of the frame, you'll be glad you did.

when its all done and you think you might have some thing...when you try and sell it the 1st thing people are going to ask...if its a 400ex Chop j0b Hybrid..so you better Like your 400ex a WHOLE lot...to do this swap!

Dont forget...if you do the YZ426 motor..you dont have to do the CAM MOD..but its the best mod for that motor..ask any one!

Just to let you know,I never had a problem my conversion,I dont think SS440ex did either,I think that it depends on your riding ability also,if your slaming into things, coming up short, nose plant landings,ect....plays a major factor.Do the same thing w/a production bike and youll have the problems,do the conversion you definately will be happy you did it....Keep us posted on your progress if you decide to do it....

I maintain 3 of them not counting mine...
And these boys hammer them HARD!!
Frame cracks are very minor, far and few!!
Correct shock set up and down siding the double will help.
It may me the welder/fabricator also LOL !!

That $100.00 cam mod is cheap!!
