it says good for stock motors tight tracks and the woods. will it also work good if i decide later on to bore my 400ex and do high comp piston and all that? or am i better off getting the x-6, but then will that work good with my 400ex stock motor? also compared to the procircuit T-4 is it louder? thanxs

id get the x-6 because if you decide to do motor mods you will still have the right exhaust, aout being louder i dont know, but def, get the sparks

I believe that they are pretty close in sound but the X6 is known to be louder.

Get the X6 regardless if you have a stock motor or not, I have it and it's great, although my motor is not stock :D

Anyway, sparks is WAY louder than any pipe i've heard so far (on a 400ex) other than a shorty pipe. Make sure you get the ceramic coating, and if you want, the big core. I love my pipe, I wouldn't get rid of it for nothing, I noticed GREAT gains in top-end, and some torque. And the turn down end cap is awesome, just looking at the dirt when your sitting still and you see dust flying is awesome :blah: and the echo of the pipe kicks *** too.

Supertrapp makes a disk-type endcap for sparks I believe.

EDIT: I went to Sparks website and they do not advertise a quiet core, so I'm assuming they don't make one. But they have a "quiet modular tip" and a spark arrestor.

If you want to keep the noise down, just remember to keep the muffler packed.

is it bad if you dont run a spark arrestor? will it cause damage to your motor

No damage will be done to your motor if you run with out the SA. It's just there to catch hot pieces of metal coming out the pipe that may start a fire in the woods. It also quiets the pipe, but by very little.

thats what i thought but people always told me before to never run a quad with out the sa because it would eventually burn up you vavles and what not. anyone no if the sparks x6 system comes with a sa?

I think you have to buy the SA seperate with curtis sparks. It only cost like 20bucks. Don't quote me on it. I'm looking to buy a 400ex and will most likely go with the CS pipe. I've heard a couple of the pipes on different bikes and I love the sound of it. If that helps you any.
