A steep price for what is probably a wider spark gap. A standard spark plug gap arcs acrossed at about 700 volts. If you insert a gap that is twice as wide ahead of the spark plug, it would need twice the voltage to arc, or about 1400 volts. This mass of electrons just fly across the 700 volt gap yielding for an instant twice the firing spark. This also has the effect of making the the spark pulse more of a "box or slug shaped" pulse rather than a gentle ramped up shaped pulse. In a three demensionable world twice the energy means four time the area covered. I sure the device would show an improvement on some engines. Especially those that do not have enough turbilence or atomization to guarteed an ignitable fuel charge at the plug at the time of firing.

An exhaust would give more horsepower than that thing.
