I have a 350pv ct, 39pwk, cpi mid-top pipe (on its way) janssen super coil. What spark plug should I be using for this setup and what should the gap be set at? thanks

Stock ignition calls for a BR type NGK plug. With the hot coil I would go with a 9 heat range to start with & be on the safe side.
Seen some blaster guys melt some pistons with hot coils before, dont know if the Janssen would be the same, best to be safe though.

The one I was using before I got the super coil was a br8eg. So your saying I should be using a 9. What are the differences between the es and eg? example BR8eg or BR8es? Also what does the Number mean? example BR8es or Br9es? Just curios as to what characteristics each type of spark plug has and how it effects performance. Should I use the BR9es or BR9eg? I know neil knows his stuff and I will take your word on which spark plug to use. thanks
Also what should the gap be set at?

Now dont discredit any of these other guys advice, its some thats a lot smarter than me but dont say much a lot of the time.

The R on the plug means its a resistor plug.
On the ES plug, the electrode end is wide.
On the EG plug, the electrode is thin like a needle.
On a EVG plug, the electrode is needle like & the ground strap is V shaped
The number on the plug is the heat range, say like a B9ES is a cold plug, a 8 is a little hotter & so on. Lower the plug number, hotter the plug will be.

When my R was running, I was messing between the BR8es, BR9es, and BR9eya. I liked the BR9eya the bast. I know this plug had a V shaped ground.

and some plugs make your bike run different like my R i tried the br9eg n it didnt run ryt at all changed to a br9eix n it was spot on so pays to keep testing others ;)

I've always used the br8es and had great luck.

basicly what all of you are saying is that there is no right spark plug it is just which one makes your bike run best and has the most reliability enless you want to melt things. makes since

I, like Corvette and Blaster, use the NGK Iridium plug breix9. It works great and is supposed to fire harder with less voltage!!
