i might be selling the 400 and getting a CR125...its an '01. just wonderin if anyone has owned this bike and wut they think of it...handling, power, ect.... as i haven't had a chance yet to ride it myself (i will on tuesday hopefully)

the cr125 is a nice bike, great suspension and handling. But compared to the other 125 mx'rs it is underpowered. I would look at a yz125 instead they have ruled the 125 class for a while now.

ive had the exact bike, its a nice bike i had a pro circuit full exhaust on it and it ran great no problems.
my buddy had the same year yz125 and my bike ran all over his. and we had the same mods done.

how big of a guy are you? if you are over 160-170 lbs i would look into a cr250 if you want to stay with a honda, i had a 2003 cr125 a few years ago and i always wanted more power, i weighed about 175 then and it just felt weak, it had alot of stuff done also, shaved head, full pipe, uni, ported, it was alright, if i had to do again i would have bought the 250

i own the same bike currently. its fun. pretty quick. and almost stock. the only thing i wish it had more is low end, but once your in the powerband is fun as hell. heres a pic from the day after i got it, i put on new tires & new chain & new sprockets. my plan is to get reeds before spring. how much is the cr your looking at and do you have pics?

i weigh about 165 and i have rode my buddies '97 CR125 and it does not at all feel underpowered to me. that is why i want the '01. the bike costs $1400, but he take $1200 for it, the top end is all new, the suspension was just completely redone by get real racing, and it has a pro circuit s/o. i will and up getting an FMF Fatty pipe with the Shorty silencer, becuz i think they pull real nice.

i don't want to go to a 250 cuz i rode a worked yz 250 and i couldn't control it in the trails (which is mostly where i ride). it was waaaayyyy to fast.

ok, i am going to be putting the 400 on ebay on tuesday, and i am going to go with the bike...i'll put pics up when i get it...thnx for all the help

good choice. look over the bike REAL well before you buy it. is there any way to mount your cycra's to the CR?

i did check over it...i scoured(sp?) it 2x and there is nothin wrong with it the thing is mint.

i could put the cycrus on it if i wanted to becuz both bikes (the cr and my 400) have 7/8 in bars, but i am not sure if i am going to do that becuz i think the 400 looks alot better with the handguards(anything to help it sell faster)

nice ex. what are you doing with the cr? mostly trails or mx. im 5'8 165-170 lbs and i love mine. good luck with the ex sale.

i dunno im just saying it was underpowered for me then, i couldnt imagine riding a 125 now, but then again i ride a kx500 so i guess its just rider opinion

but one Q....why does it look like ur bars r so far back in the triple clamps? that seems uncomfortable to me

well i rode it yesterday, and the thing flat out rips...it is stock bore, but it felt like a CR144....3rd gear i was doing like 45, and it still had more...front tire off the ground through every gear....it will keep up with a piped 450 easy....quad is up for sale...i'll put the link up once i get it...it is on ebay
