What mods are most effective and necessary for the smaller cc quads. I do a lot of trail riding and some small xc racing and i would like to be able to jump a little bit without destroying the suspension so what should i invest in? I dont want to totally break the bank so what are some good, quality mods. Im thinking of a blaster but im open to opinions.

im talking mods in general from engine to suspension. I just want to get an idea of what other people think the best mods for the money are.

since it seems like your on a budget i wouldn't invest to much into the smaller quads so i would say work shocks would be a great investment. Also a pipe and air filter are basically imo the first things you need to do to any quad motor before really doing anything else. blasters are great quads and so are 300ex its whatever you feel more comfortable on. I feel the blaster feels more cramped then the 300ex and im only 5'9

get a 250ex there motors are bullet proof and great for trail blazing. the mods i am and going to put on are skid plate, a arm guards, front bumper, full system exhaust, k&n, jets maby an icat witch icrease spark and torck and throttle response but the first thing i would put on is a k&n jets and full system pipe. maby works suspension for on a budget for that or elka's hope this helps a little;) :D :muscle:

If your 19 i wouldnt get anything smaller than a 400 unless maybe a raptor 350 or something like that.

250-300exs are just to smaller you would spend a bundle in up grades just getting the power of a shock 400.

and this time of year you can get some great dealers on the 06s

speed isnt my main concern. I dont feel the need to go ridiculous speeds. I want a dependable quad which will be set up right for some hard trail riding. I plan do definetly get a good system exhaust, filter, and shocks. What are some good trail shock?

I could live without reverse. Im looking for anything used or new that isnt ridiculously expensive, thats why im kind of looking for a smaller quad. Maybe a 400EX if i could find one.

im 5'11'' 150 lbs and i feel fine on my 300ex but i think you would be more comfortable on a raptor 350 or a 400ex

you guy spending thousands of dollars on 400's and **** but if all you want is for trail riding and putting around a 250ex and a 300ex would be just fine iv seen old men and women like 30 years old driving them and they do just as good on trail use and woods use just not that great on speed:devil:  :grr:
