he has a little plat ground at the top but he has about 500 acres of land and has nothing but trails and a few gas well roads also he has a few small hill climbs

can i buy a wiseco piston before a exhaust and cam etc.

oldskoolex400

why would you do that unless your upping the compression

high compression piston, jet kit, pull airbox cover off and pull off spark arrestor out of your exhaust $300 bucks, good power gain.

i read the info on TRX450R.ORG. it was written in August of 2004.
Anyone know what differences there are on an 06 machine?

Can there really be an improvement over the stock filter, it's pretty big already and with foam on the end as well. Maybe just pull the arrestor and plug the hole?

i was planning on upping the comp. to 11.5:1 to 12:1

and can i do this before cam and exhaust etc.

why would you do that before the other stuff?

pro-rider46

because a new piston would run me about $125-$150

a .5 increase in comp won't do much plus you'll need a top end gasket set. for the same price or maybe a little cheaper you can get a cam and get much more bang for the buck. cut a hole in the rear of the airbox lid, cut the arrester thing in the air filter off, get a sparks or hrc jet kit and a slip on or remove the guts in the stock silencer.

you can reuse your gaskets if your not that picky. i did and it work fine they are metal, unless you tear one of them up. if you dont what to spend much at all you can just remove airbox lid and spark arrester and put a jet kit in it and gain alittle wihtout spending a whole lot. the filter screen i just cut 1 1/2 inch holes in it to help it breath. but it didnt help none. and the whole filter thing doesnt help that much. it not going to let anymore air in unless you can get it out. my pro flow didnt make a noticeable differance at all maybe it would on dyno but not real world.:D
