400ex rear bearings and poosibly carrier and axle wanted

Im looking for a set of rear axle bearings and seals and possibly the carrier and axle too. thanks

I have a carrier and axle that I took out of my 05' after 1 day of riding they are as close to new as you can get at about 1/4 the cost. I was going to put them on e-bay today, I have pics will take $150 shipped

you can get a brand new set on ebay for about $20 bucks for the bearings

I might have a axle i would have to double check.

I have a aftermarket carrier made by Rad i would sell for $100 shipped.

You can pretty much pick up a off brand for about the same price more or less and there;s is new.

Rad has a grease bearing you can get to from the outside of the carrrier makes it worth a bit more plus the name.

Probably be better getting a new one if you don't need a brand name.

I have a stock 400ex axle, straight, good shape. Just been sitting around for past few years, 400 is gone so it needs to go. Will sell for cheaper send me a pm

are the $20 set of ebay bearings any good? i priced them from honda dealership and it was $84 for bearings and seals.

yeah they are just sealed bearings will last a bit

You can take your bearing carrier to a shop and have em put em in.

Or beat the hell out of it like they would do (possibly use a dremel to to cut em out and your good)

Or spend $100 on a dual row do no work and wait till they go bad and have to figure something else out again.


Spend the $20 beat the hell out of the carrier

You do kinda have to be carefull not to crack it

Use a drift of a punch you'll be fine on rare occasions the guts willl fall out and your left with the outsede of the bearing still in there grab a dremmel tool and cut away.

Try not to gouge up the bearing carrier to bad and your gold.

Oh yeah make sure the bearings come wiht new seals too. And grease the hell out of it.

Try to use a marine grade grease and you can afford it.

Helps not to break down in the water.

im still looking for a carrier. either stock or aftermarket is fine as long as it has good bearings and seals.

btw honda5 i shoulda bought yours but i didnt get to it in time thanks tho.
