400ex vs 450r

i own a 05 400ex. it is in good condition. i want to sell it and buy a 450. the dealer i am buying from has a 04 for 5800 and an 05 for 6000. is this a good deal or should i just have them get me a new one. if i get a new one, i want white. but will the white change coler after it gets muddey. i appreasiate all of your oppinions.

thats too high i think. You can find a better deal, i got my 06 450er for 5300, and it had nerf bars, slip on, jetted, and in perfect shape. That was back in august.

Yeah, that is a horrible deal IMO. I walked out the door with my 06-when they first came out-for $6000. You could find a much better deal on them now. 07s are going for ~$6000 around here and better deals are to be found.

My 05 cost 5000 new tell them to come down on their price dont get the white get a red 450 if you can( just my opinoin)

i was also eyeing the 07 black, it looks sweet with a red frame.

your gonna pay extra if you get a brand new '07. if i was you id steer clear of the stealership unless you really wnate dbrand new. if your gonna buy used DO NOT buy from the stealership

yea in june i got my 04 trx450R, it came with aftermarket seven eights handlebars, DG nerfbars, full DG undercarage skid plate, and a DG bumper for $4200

oh well, deals dont get much bummer than my 04 450R for 6200 OTD......in feb '05, yup and what they tell you over the phone and what they have at the dealer (90 min. drive) are sometimes two different things but im still happy with my 04.

and ida, if you want new offer the dealer 5500 for an 06 with a free lid (helmet) and if not tell em somewhere else will, and if you want used just look around youll find a good deal for a good clean 05.

I bought my 04 450r about this time of year when the 05 models were out for $5300 otd. You should be able to get your dealer to come down a few hundred or go to another dealer. Plus he should be willing to throw in a helmet to get the deal done.

i have a slightly used, showroom condition 06 with a few extras for sale...asking $5500
i am a little flexible on that price though...make offers, don't ask for my bottom line...no trades either

all af the aftermarket parts are sold except for the ones listed above. i do have some things that are on my 400ex that came off this bike. they are pro armor fat peg nerf bars with heel guards, hiper rims with razr2's on the front(95% tread) and irazrs(60-65% tread left). price can be adjusted accordingly for these items. i also have a noss machine steering stabilzer availble...

I have about 50-60 hours on this bike. the oil has been changeed 3 times. chain adjusted and lubed before and after every ride. i always washed the bike after every ride before it was put in the garage. then the first chance i got, i would take all the plastics off off and clean it by hand. i would also go over it to make sure every thing was still tight, and nothing wrong with it.

the throttle recall has been performed and i had the dealership rebuild my starter, even though it didn't need it yet. if you don't know about this, Honda did not tell the dealers that throttle should not be used when starting the machine. when using throttle, the bike may kickback and ruin the starter sprag. for this reason, i had all the parts replaced. i have the receipt for this also. i have ridden the bike once since then and that was in September.

now on to the pics...i shrunk them to fit the screen...if there are any others you may like to see, or even these in original size(6mp), just let me know, i'll get them for you...after looking at the pics, it seems as if there is a dent in the exhaust...there is not a dent in it, it is just a reflection of the light...i can get a confirmation pic of this if you like
