Hi all,
I have a 07 400ex,for the life of me I can't find the factory booklet that came with it,so...How often should I be changing oil and filter ?,I have a hour meter fitted.

Also i've fitted a dynojet jet kit with only airbox and filter mods, all is sweet however the only thing I couldn't do was adjust the fuel/air screw as recommended by them as it's a D shaped thingy instead of a slotted head as you would expect.
Bike is running fine without adjustment, will leaving this as is have any affects on the bike until I can find out where to source one over here in Australia ?.
Sorry about the long winded post, for those that may want to know.

Main jet #142
Needle on 3rd slot.
Airbox lid off.
K&N filter.
Pilot left as standard.
Pro circuit t-4 still to come.

Thanks in advance.Fullysic 400

The first oil change should be at 100miles/150km or 20 hours(which evers comes first). Regular interval afterwards is every 600miles/1,000km or 100 hours.
I have a 2006 model and got the "D" shaped fuel screw tool with the DynoJet kit part number: Q107. The part number of the "D" shape fuel screw tool is: DT008. Check your kit. You might have the tool already. Your screw should be 3 and a 1/2 turns out from lightly seated. Stock setting is around 2 and a 1/4. You are running a bit lean at idle is my guess.
You might be able to cantact DynoJet via e-mail and order the tool that way. You could replace the fuel screw with a screw for a 1999 to 2004 400EX. Those had a straight slot adjustment screw. You can order it from www.servicehonda.com. I have read other threads where people remove the "D" shaped screw and grind or cut a straight slot in the head of it to make it easy to adjust.

Change your oil more often if your worried about it. Nothing stopping you but spending the time and money to get it done.
The valve clearance needs checked at 20 operating hours and every 100 hours afterwards. Here's a link to buy a service manual that will cover all of this and more. http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=273483
