So i have a new Trinity Stage IV exhaust on the way and was wondering if i should go ahead and order a jet kit or not. Does the bike always need re-jetting after an exhaust is added or is it possible to get away without? any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Nate

might be close with the lid on but will still not a couple adjustments, once the lid is off u def need to do some jetting... either way with or without lid imo need jetting cuz runnning ur quad for long periods times without correct jetting is harmful to the engine and u just lose power.

dont buy one of those jet kits though. Get an hrc needle, and a 185 main and you will be damn close. Those aftermarket jet kits are a pain in the rear

Yes, you will need to rejet with an aftermarket system.

Although I would not recommend a jet kit, if that is the road you choose, Curtis Sparks has a decent jet kit that you can buy.

so just get the needle and a main jet? thats it? sounds easy enough...where is the best place to get that from? what kind of a price range am i looking at?

Yeah hrc needle on 3rd clip, you might have to bring the pilot up one. I know i did. And start with a 185 main. With an hmf exhaust, hrc kit, uni filter and an 11.5 to 1 piston im up to a 200 main. So to be safe pick up a 190, 195, and even a 200 main jet to make sure you got enough jets to fine tune with.

Hey Nate_450R You Might Wait Till It Comes In Because My buddy Ordered A Trinity Stage IV exhaust For His 06 450ER And His Came With Jets So They Might Be Coming With The Exhaust. He Put Those In And The Thing Rips So They Got It Close Enough In His Machine.

Yea He Ordered It Straight From Trinity. I Will Warn You Though His End Cap Stuck Out Past His Grab Bar So Watch Those Wheelies Or Do What He Did And Cut It Down Reweld It And Machine A New Bracket So The Clamp Dont Cover The Trinity Stage IV Logo. It Might Be Different On The 04-05 450's. I Dont Know Bout That One.

yep good call guys it did come with jets. got it in today and put on tonight. didnt take too long with the jets. runs great i love it. and yeah man the end cap does stick out a little further than the grab bar. up on end the tip will hit and the grab bar has about 2" more to go. oh well, just gotta be careful.
