I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried putting stock 250R a-arms and shocks on a 300EX and if it was worth it. My boyfriend had all the parts sitting around in his shop and I thought it'd be pretty cool to put it on my bike. Hopefully make it a little less tippy.....Are there any tips anyone can give me to make this project a little easier?

Look back through some of the threads, this has been discussed several times.:)

Okay, I looked back through all the threads and really didn't see very much useful info on this. Has anyone on here actually managed to do this and take pictures? Someone told us if we use the 250r shocks we need to remount the shock mounts, but there doesn't look like enough room to do this. If anyone has pics that would help us out a lot.

Heya, the 250R a-arms will bolt right up no problem, but the shocks will not, you have a few choices, you can use the stock 300EX shocks and the quad will sit about 2 inches lower, or you can get a new mount to mount up the 250R shocks. If you wanna go that way, either talk to CountyPark, on this board, countyparkracing@hotmail.com , he sells a bolt on mount wich sounds pretty nifty, its around a hundred bucks, i forget, or if you have access, it would probly be cheaper to make the mount yourself, but that will most likely require access to a welder and someone who knows what theyre doing, it will work and it has been done, Good luck

I did it on a 250X which is the same as a 300EX frame. I used the stock 250X shocks which, like was said above, lowered the front ride height about 2". It handles great this way!

Thanks guys!! I think i'm going to try it with the stock shocks just to see how I like it, but if it doesn't feel right I'm gonna switch to the 250r shocks.I'll let ya know how it goes when we get it done....
