not sure where its leakin at, if its at a seam there are collars that can be used, or you can use high temp permatex.

You may need a new exhaust gasket.

Go to www.imageshack.us (no registering needed) and click Browse find the pic and click it and hit OK, then look at where it says Resize image, it's a drop-down box thing, select 800x600(15inch moniter)

The pipe probably seperated from the collar, I had it happen with LTE's. I welded it to seal it again, ground down the weld and it's good to go.

The one on the left is rewelded the other has only been cleaned:

Dude I've never seen that before. I've seen springs on the silencer but not the headpipe. The collars on my pipe are welded to the headpipe.

well to solve your problem get some exhaust high heat gasket silicone . and put in where the two come together. this is done mostly on 2 strokes with there flanges and what not... all the 250r guys will know what im talking about..

Where did you get that headpipe? Never seen springs on a 4-stroke header, only on a 2-stroke exhaust chamber and the springs are going the other way. Looks like those springs would only pull them away from the header, not keep them on.

What do you guys mean the collars are welded to the head pipe? None of the collers on my pipes were welded?

Also, didd you buy that HMF Brand new, I've never seen springs on a 4 stroke header either.

Just buy new headpipes, doesn't look like we're going to be able to help you here.
