DASA ;)

Just kidding. Between the two, I would choose the HMF. I have no first hand experience with the FMF, but I owned, and ran the HMF for a very long time...it was a great pipe.

Hey,
As much as i'd like to get the DASA i can't right now. I just got the FMF from my parents. Since they don't know much about them, they don't know im not a huge fan of fmf. So my other friend has a like new HMF for sale and i was just wondering everyones opinion on the pipes, I had a powercore 4 on my 300ex and didn't mind it but i'd like a change. I havn't ridden my bike yet with the fmf and I have riddin buddy's with the HMF, but since it was someone elses bike i went easy on it.
thanks.

I've actually never seen an FMF powered 450R on the dyno....

I put my HMF pipe on the dyno tho :)....and not to mention my DASA pipe as well

FMF has really changed their products around, just from looking at the new designs its surprising how the company went from all about mass production to actually making good products...i.e. the FMF Mega Bomb header, im not sure if it would interfere with your leg but the design is crazy and no one else has even come close to making any header like it, their new mufflers look really good too, wish i could try one of the new pipes out

go with the fmf. does you have the powerbomb header?? I got a Titanium 4 w/ the powerbomb header and its awsome. i never really matched it up with HMF head to head, but IMO the FMF is a real nice exhaust.

fmf's r&d department budget is probably 4 times hmf's entire budget.

I'm not trying to flame, I know it sounds like it, just stateing facts. dasa dan does good work. but I still like the fmf.

for me the megabomb header with the factory 4.1c

I am also 100% about the effectiveness not the looks

Not flaming, but I must ask......

Do you have any solid numbers to back those kind of claims up?

Any real numbers from BOTH companies?

First hand info? Is this just speculation?

I'm just curious. Currently, I don't use any FMF or HMF products....I'm just curious as to where those numbers came from?

Here's a suggestion...if you have no first hand experience with
either pipe don't respond.
I have the HMF Bill Ballance full system and I can tell you they are
high quality pipes.Countless dyno runs have proven the awesome power gains achieved with HMF pipes.Unless someone can show me equal achievements with an FMF pipe i"ll be sticking with HMF.The FMF is a decent pipe but not quite on par with the HMF (in my opinion).
As for the statement "FMFs R&D departments budget being 4x
that of HMF"...what's your point? It's all about the person/people
who actually design and test the product.I could be a billionaire
and still not know how to design a pipe.
