Jeff, I noticed the Dura Blue box on the floor in the second pic. The box and the rear hubs look exactly like the ones I run to enable me to use Honda wheels. If they are, word of caution, take a look at them pretty close. The first set I got had the steel insert off center and the wheel wobbled like crazy.

Ray Actually thats rowlrags Blaze, I decided to wait till the 03 gets here in a couple weeks.
The CRF should be done next week. I've gotta take it to White Brothers tomorrow and they are going to make a pipe fit it.

Jeff,

Did you ever finish the GNCC CRF450R?

If so, how does it compare to the Blaze? What will happen to the CRF450R now that you are racing the Blaze?

In your opinion (not trying to start a flaming war), if Honda ever decides to release its own CRF450R, how will it do for GNCC racing? What changes would they have to do to it for you to switch back to Honda from your Cannondale?

Since I got the Blaze, I have lost interest in the CRF! I have riddin it around the parking lot and the motors feel similar.
I don't believe Honda will ever come out with a motor that puts out power like the CRF. I will mostly likley never go back to Honda because of the way they have treated quad riders since 1989! The only reason I sayed on a 250R all these years is because there wasn't another bike out there that I felt comfertable on untill I rode a Cannondale.

Don't be too hard on Honda. If they had not released the 400ex in 1998, do you think "our" sport would be where it is today? Do you think there would be a Canondale, a Z400, a Predator, a pro production class, etc...??? Do you think that there would be a Quad Shop?

I realize that Honda could do a lot more if it wanted to. And that Cannondale is doing a lot more for quad riders.

freds right. Honda jump started the quad scene back up with the 400ex. The scene was dormant for so many years untill honda blew people away with the 400ex.

that is going to be a bad quad. if i had to make a purchase right now ( like win a contest ) i would pick a cannondale. i just hope honda can make something that will keep up without pushing the rider to the limits to keep up. maybe honda does not want to waste time and money moments before the government and their friends kill our sport again!!! then we will all be back to building our own quads to go faster. KUDO`S to jeff-n-the crew that build those wonderful machines.

you should bring the crf 450 for a pit bike paople will be comenting on your crf then you can tell them its only your pit pike can you amagine the look on there faces :huh lol that would be great have a killer dale to race then have a pit bike that cost just as much as the racing bike.

bee, you don't want that quad. It uses Houser chassis products and Elka suspension;) Maybe TQS is working on a Leager chassis'd PEP suspended quad for you:D

heh marty's boat is worth about 4-6 crf bikes.

but with a lil more work (stroker kit) my boat would beat it. theres a guy with a 18'ft donzi doing 106.2 mph with a stroker and a S/C he was doin 89mph without the s/c

Damn, i'd love to have a laeger/pep crf450 but Ill take anything with that crf motor in it.

I rode it around the parking alot so I didn't even need a seat. I have ridden CRF bike quite a bit, the power feels alot like the dale!!!

The Cannondale moto is cheepier but I would think a a crf450 race quad would be alot nicer. And probably less problems with the engine.

The 02 I've been racing has a ton of hours on it without one single problem! I have an 03 now and rowlrag is still racing the 02.
I would be more concearned about the tranny in the CRF than any problem with the Dale.

you would have to do alot of bracing and gusseting to fit that motor in there. it might have enough power to crack the frame. im not sure. plus you would have to fabricate motor mounts. it would just be easier to buy an aftermarket frame
