How/where can I find the dealer price on a 07 400EX? I stopped at a dealer and they told me they were selling 07 400EX's for about $5350 I think. I'm not sure if this included taxes or not.

MSRP is $5,999.00
$500.00 below that might be realistic. Do what I did and call around to several local dealerships and tell them you are in the market for a 400EX and you are calling all the dealerships in the area looking for the best "Out the Door" price. They will add on a "Set up fee" and Tax.

I paid $6100 out the door in PA. Thats with tax, tags (DCNR Plate), delivery and like one more thing. You should end up paying around 6g till all is said and done and you are sitting on it in your yard.

If you're willing to drive, you may want to check Abernathy's in Union City, TN. They gave me the above price.

I HIGHLY doubt that price includes tax.

HIGHLY doubt it.

For one, its too good to be true. Second, if EVER a dealer can quote you a lower price, he will. His plan is to get you sold on buying from him, and then add on the taxes and other charges.

Like was said, ask for their "out the door" price.

Be certain to ask for the "OUT THE DOOR" price. Don't get hung up on the price quote before all the additional charges are added. They end up adding nearly $500.00 to $800.00 in additonal charges (Dealer Prep: $198.00, Doc fees: $45.00, CA. DMV fee: $25.00, Sales Tax: $444.57 and even a Tire Tax: $3.50). WTF is up with that whole tire tax thing anyways. It might just be a California thing.
After shopping around the lowest price quote I found was $5,301.43 but the "OTD" price ended up being $6,017.50 for my 2006 which I bought in May of 2006.
You could get a much better deal on a new 2006 if the dealers still have one left. They would be pretty desparate to get it off their hands and you could get if for atleast $1,000.00 less than a 2007 model or maybe even lower.

I called and the dealer confirmed it was OTD. I called one local Honda dealer and got a even better OTD price though-$5199. All I'd have extra would be state sales tax. Neither dealer has 06's, which would be fine with me...

Should I expect to find better Honda financing after the first of the year?

Don't even get me started on Honda Financing. They will bait you with a low introductory interest rate and low payments for a year or two and than tatoo your @$$ with a ridiculously high interest rate afterwards on what you still owe. If you make the minimum payments all you end up doing the first couple years is paying the interest and never lowering the amount you owe. They are just not worth dealing with unless you have no other option.
I paid mine off as fast as I could. I was so happy when I got that title in the mail. It felt like I broke the bonds of slavery.

Hey man if I were you I would try very hard to not finance. t
There are so many good used 400ex's out there. Many have tons of upgrades and all for half the price. The 400ex is a great machine and there are many well taken care of ones out there.

Werd.

Buy a real good condition used bike, that someone ELSE has done the upgrades on.

You'll get ALOT more for your $$$.

And paying cash is ALWAYS a good idea.

Steve, Welcome to the Forum! Congrats on the New 400EX. I bought 2006 just down the road from Saunders in Visalia, CA.
I live down in Lemoore. Maybe we can go riding sometime.

I know an area near me that has 10 square miles of trails and hills that we can ride on. Chevron owns the land and allows people to FREE ride on it. It's a blast. I PMed you my contact info.
