Alright, I know this isnt a Dirt Bike Site but, my buddys dad owns a ttr-225 and it wont start. (i.e. its electric start) When he pushes the starter it sounds like the engine is turning over. He bought a new battery and has it in. If you hold the starter down for about 10 seconds it sounds like the starter is disengageing and makes a loud and bad sounding grinding noise. I am taking a guess about it being a cloged carb. N E help would be greatly appreciated.;)

Its getting spark. I really think its a fuel problem. Him and his father are trying to fix it now. I think they are taking the carb out and cleaning it.

Haha, yea but i don't know how well we did so. His father wanted us to push him. Take note he weighs about 220lbs and his dirtbike weighs another 230lbs it was not an easy push. But none the less it didn't work. I think they may have got it to fire. Now i'll try to call him in a sec. His phone line was busy last time.

If pushing it got it to fire, it is not a fuel issue. That is a compression problem, most likely the valve lash. Why do you insist that it is fuel? Does the plug get gas on it?

NO pushing it didn't get it to fire. They cleaned the carb but it ran well after that.
