Has anyone heard anything about the new, KXF700 V Force from Kawasaki? go to sportquad.com and its right there in bold green letters, from what i hear, its got :

700cc 90 degree v twin engine, much like praire 650, with bigger displacement and race tuning

ITP holeshots mounted on aluminum rims all around

double piston front brakes

dual a arm front suspension, lay down type rear suspension with gas charged rear shock

cost- 6,499 available in first quarter of 2003

What do u guys think of this craziness? when is honda gonna figure out they need to release a xr650 or crf450 powered quad to keep up with these all new quads that smoke the 400ex? i'm a loyal honda fan, but i would really like to see honda get on teh ball and meet these new challengers. In my opinion, 700cc is a pure waste of displacement, u all saw what happened to the 260cc larger raptor when it faced teh 400cc Z400. If u hear any new thoughts of the kxf700, post them here

It will use the Prarie engine, which means it is an automatic & will be shaft driven instead of chain driven. It should still be a pretty cool quad (although the front plastic is a bit ugly), and as I recall, the Prarie had a top speed of about 70, so it ought to be fast...

That thing is a tank. All it will do is go fast, and handle like an ice cream truck. It weighs over 500 lbs.....

I am not doubting you, but where did you get that weight info at? I was looking for it and couldn't find it.( I didn't look real hard)
Shaft drive aint all its cracked up to be, I had a Polaris, and the hook up just ain't there like with a chain drive.

im bettin it weighs in around 500pds, thats like jammin 2 4stroke motors (which ussaly weigh alot by themeselves) togather almost, plus a shaft, plus a auto clutch, all that would equal up to allmost 500lbs, and the frame and everything is massive

the quadzilla will run circles around that thing..

500 lbs.. ACK....

it might not have 4wd, but you'll still need a winch to get it unstuck.. LOL

sportquad.com says it has a handle bar mounted drive selector?!?! what does that mean? i dunno, also i heard some one say the dry weight was around...508 pounds. I'm thinkin they r goin for the scrambler market with the shaft drive and auto clutch. The only thing goin for it is the whole shots, lol, i'll tell ya more later if i find ne thing else out
