Guys I'm new to the world of 400 EX and mine (2004 400EX) won't idle even when it's warmed up. Is there an idle adjustment screw I can't seem to find? Any suggestions would be great. I just bought it and I don't know if has been jetted or any thing but it has a K&N filter. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.

clean the carb, check the plug and jet size , and usually you can adjust your idle by screwing or unscrewing the cable that goes in your throttle, try these its always best to start with the basics

I don't know about the newer EX's but my 2000 has a big (half inch in diameter) know with a straight slot in it to adjust the idle speed.

Best money you'll ever spend is on a good service manual. You can get a genuine Honda for under $50 or a Clymer for about half that. That will save you far more money than it costs you.

the cable supposed to be attached to the screw seems to be messed up. I was able to adjust it where it goes into the carb but not by the screw. It's fixed and running good now.
