how do i tell if im getting spark?

I started my 400ex up three days ago and it fired right up, but i tried to start it today and nothing. I pulled the plug and it looked ok. tried pull-starting it with my truck and nothing. how can i tell if its getting spark and fuel?

spark is pretty easy to check. just take out the plug and plug it back into the spark plug wire then turn the motor over. if you see a spark jumping the gap then you know you are getting spark. for fuel just turn the motor over with the plug in it and then after take out the plug and if its wet and smells like gas then there is gas going in. hope that helps.

But don't touch the metal part of the plug while your doing.

I figured it out. it was a dead plug.
