metal k&n air filter

i have a k&n air filter i got from rockymountainatv.com and i was wondering if thay are all metal insted of rubber or if it's just the wrong one

all k&n filters are a guaze material with a metal mesh screen surrinding them

or if your talking about the neck and bottom of the filter, some applications are metal and some are rubber. My 400ex is metal but I have a K & N universal filter on my trx300 that is rubber so they come both ways

I am pretty sure that it is supposed to be metal on the 400EX. At least mine is.........

it is supposed to be metal. it slips inside you stock intake tube and you clamp it down that way
