I have a 400ex and the head is shot its cracked and helicoiled out the wazoo can anyone tell me where i can get a cheap one oin good shape or if you have aone and want to get rid of it message me at jpbradbury_91@yahoo.com thx!

Yes, I know i have already tried ebay and the only the only heads that they have are beat up and helicoiled so if anyone out there has one email me at address above!

Sry, but what does helicoiled mean. Yea try ebay. I think port and polish would fix this. Not sure i don't know much about that part of the engine.

Helicoiled is replacing the threads that have been stripped out. Drill the hole out a little larger and retap it and insert the helicoil in and you can still use the same size bolt instead of just drilling and retapping and going to a larger bolt.

If his head is shot, a port and polish won't do any good to help it.

Keep watching ebay, they're out there. I do believe you can also watch for XR400's also to broaden your search. I see a few guys with XR's use the keyword TRX in their title when they list engine parts to sell.
