My new "old" pictures from a Mud Run this year !!!

Well I finally found some pictures from a Mud Run my girlfriend and I along with our friends did this year . These were taken back in May ..... it was a blast !!!! LOTS of mud , lots of blackflies and we got lost in the woods for a couple hours with a cop that was on patrol !!!:devil:

lol ! ! i hate coffee. i wish i new some places like that around here to ride. i have been told there are. we moved her to a bigger town not to long ago so im not familiar with those type places yet.

A look from the other side of the mud hole . When we were on the other side , there was about 50 or more quads stuck in this swamp .... first swamp of 4 like this on the Mud Run .

You see those 2 quads in the swamp that are stuck?? Yeah those are 2 cops on their quads . They were stuck for a while ... everyone just sat and watched and drank their beer ... I mean pop !!!!;)

My buddy's Brute Force . Tow strap came in handy ... especially when the Grizzly had to pull the Kawi out of a couple holes !!!! He seriously needs better tires on the bike, it would make a huge difference :devil:

Someone's bright idea to go around the next mudhole because a few had been stuck for an hour or so .... so we ventured off into the woods in search of a trail to go around the swamp.

Apparently the cop's idea wasn't the greatest , since we got lost for about 2 or more hours . Yup that's right ... we were breaking trail , in temps reaching boiling point , getting eaten by blackflies , had to keep our helmets on , a cooler full of refreshments that we couldn't drink ... oh and the best part ... while all this is going on , my buddy snaps the chain on his Raptor so he had to be TOWED out of these tight woods . But THANK GOD for GPS ... it got us out of the woods !!!

Poor ole' Raptor ... shamefull tow back to the trailer . We made it a priority to drive by large crowds of other ATVers really slow so they could wave ... or point and laugh... which ever they felt like doing !!!

And when I say Hell , I mean HELL !!! It's the weekend where whatever could have went wrong , went wrong . Started off with a flat tire on a trailer and the wrong size tire iron to take it off , then it went to us actually losing the spare tire while driving down the HWY ( 13inch tire got so hot doing 60 mph that the studs ripped through the rim ) . Then the Electronics on my buddy's Brute Force decided to quit working so he had to run in 2wd for part of the weekend . My brakes on the Grizzly kept seizing up to the point where my rotor was RED HOT . Another buddy's fiancee at the time ( now wife) was a total b*tch . The Suzuki quad he borrowed decided to have it's motor let go .... oh and it snowed !!!! :grr:

Alright here we go with the May 24 Long Weekend from HELL pictures . Everyone around here knows that May 24 is the official kick-off to the riding season , fishing season , camping season , etc . It's also a big party weekend ... so bring your case of 24 beer ( or many cases ) ... the name just fits the weekend perfectly cause it always falls on the 24th of May !!!:devil:

Anyways , here's how our weekend started out ... about 50 miles out of town .

Sweet ... the tire iron doesn't fit . Unhook the trailer and drive back a few miles to a restaurant that luckily enough had a tool set with the correct sizes .

Why isn't this wheel on the trailer ?? Well it was for about an hour and half , untill it got so hot that the melt sheared itself and fell off the trailer while we were pulling into a gas station .

So we got in REALLY late that night ... like 2am late ... when we should have been there at 7pm the previous day . During that time we also got stopped by a Conservation Officer while down in the middle of nowhere ... needless to say those drinks we had opened had to be thrown out the window .

Then I heard a loud crack come from inside the clutch .

Then I was wondering who had a match , so I could burn the bike to the ground right then and there .

The loud noise that came from the clutch , was the result of the clutch guard bolt comming loose and falling into the clutch while doing about 40 MPH .... it broke off a piece of the clutch . :ermm:

After getting the clutch part figured out and getting the brakes to let loose , we went riding and found a small lake .

End of the weekend .... on our way home we had to stop a few times cuz we had a trailer tire going flat ( figures) .... and when we got to my parents place to unload my quad , we blew out a tire on another trailer . :huh Three trailer tires bit the dust that weekend !!!

Looks like a fun place to ride we go trail riding alot here to. I hate those trip's that everything goes wrong. A couple months ago when we went to the Joe's Valley resivor are fuel pump went out in are motorhome and I pulled it with the quad trailer behind it about 20 mile's to camp with my little bronco II(no joke). Then we get a call from are friend saying that his tire blew and hit the plastic craper tank and put a hole in it, luckily it was empty and we fixed it at camp by filling the hole up and plastic welding it with plastic zip ties and a lighter. Then the next day we had to take my bronco to town and get a fuel pump and had to drop the 35 gallon tank on are motorhome and replace it. I couldn't wait to go rid so I start my kx and my clutch cable brakes, no big deal I had another one, Then we go riding and the lower needle bearing on the rod cam apart and scatterd through the engine taking out the crank, piston, head, and powervavles. So I brang the bike back pissed as hell and went to the lake fishing to cool down and it started down pouring. Then later that night I got in a fight with my sister's boyfriend. This was by far the worst weekend I ever had!

I don't really like the mud. I like speed.

Here's what I went though , to get the Grizzly all nice and dirty . Took me 5 hours to clean it ... and that's not even taking the skid plates off ... it's still packed with mud under the engine . :S
